As the component with the barcode moves in front of the scanner the SCANBC measures the distance from it to the product surface. The SCANBC stores/compares the measurements to distinguish surface contours from the barcode. The SCANBC then outputs the coded identity as the result.
Depending on your special application the barcodes can either be indented or raised by a distance anywhere between 0.1 mm and 10 mm.
